TRI-CITIES, Wash. – Both the Kennewick and Richland Police Departments are hosting Drug Take Back events on April 26, allowing residents to anonymously dispose of unneeded or expired medications for free.
Both events run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Kennewick’s event takes place at 211 W. 6th Ave., while Richland’s takes place at 871 George Washington Way.
Attendees of the Richland event can also get a free blood pressure and blood sugar check from first responders.
KPD notes that they will not accept illicit substances, intra-venous solutions, injectables, inhalers, syringes, chemotherapy medications, vaping devices with unremovable batteries, medical waste, thermometers, oxygen containers or pressurized canisters.
