
YAKIMA, Wash. – An event offering a chance for women to learn new skills while contributing to affordable housing for those in need begins this week in Yakima.
Women Build 2025, presented by MB Designs and Tri-Ply Construction, begins Wednesday, March 19, with teams from various local organizations such as Yakima Federal Savings & Loan and Central Lutheran Church.
Meloney Rosen, Executive Director of Yakima Valley Partners Habitat for Humanity, expressed excitement about the community’s involvement. “Women Build is about more than just building homes—it’s about empowering women, strengthening communities, and making a lasting impact,” Rosen said.
The Yakima Valley Partners Habitat for Humanity, along with the Greater Yakima Chamber of Commerce, will host a Women Build Celebration and Business After Hours event on Thursday, March 27, at 4:00 p.m. at 31 Viola, Yakima.
This gathering will celebrate the volunteers’ efforts and foster connections among community members.
