Tri-Cities Polar Plunge to celebrate Special Olympics milestone

KENNEWICK, Wash. – Celebrating the 50th anniversary of Special Olympics Washington, the Tri-Cities Polar Plunge is set to take place this month.

Participants can take the plunge or donate, with all proceeds supporting Special Olympics programs for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Washington State.

The event schedule includes registration starting at 10:00 a.m., followed by an awards and costume contest at 11:15 p.m., and the plunge at 12:00 p.m.

To participate, registrants must raise an additional $50 beyond the $25 admission fee to support the cause.

This pledge will also secure an official event shirt. Participants are encouraged to raise the minimum amount by February 17 to guarantee their plunge shirt.
