RICHLAND, Wash. – Richland Fire & Emergency Services held a celebration in response to the heroic actions of Kennewick Police Officer Kaleb Christensen during a medical emergency in 2024.
Officer Christensen performed CPR on a man for about three minutes until the Kennewick Fire Department and Richland firefighters arrived, ultimately saving the man’s life, police said.
During the recognition ceremony, Officer Christensen and the man he saved were reunited under much happier circumstances.
Police said Officer Christensen is not one for recognition and would rather keep the focus on the daily service of the officers. To him this is just what we do, but is very happy to see the man doing great, police added.
