Benton County voters to decide funding for performing arts center, levies

BENTON COUNTY, Wash. – Voters in Benton County will decide the fate of four ballot measures during a special election Tuesday, February 11th.

Voters in Finley and Kiona-Benton School District; and Richland Public Facilities District will see a local measure on their ballots.

Proposition One/Richland Public Facilities DistrictProposition authorizes a sales and use tax increase of 0.2% for a performing arts center.

Proposition No. 1/Kiona-Benton City School DistrictReplacement Levy for Educational Programs and Operations

Proposition No. 1/Finley School DistrictReplacement Levy for Educational Programs and Operations

Proposition No. 2/Finley School DistrictCapital Levy for Safety, Security and Educational Technology Improvements

Franklin County is one of eight counties around the state with no races on the February Special Election ballot.

Ballots were mailed out January 22. They must be postmarked or dropped off at designated sites no later than February 11 for votes to count.
