Resident, dog escaped RV on fire

KENNEWICK, Wash.–A Recreational Vehicle used as a primary residence caught fire this morning.

Responders upgraded the fire to a structure fire upon arrival and additional resources attended to the scene, according to a Kennewick Police Department press release. Fire crews controlled the fire within minutes of KFD’s arrival.

The resident was able to escape from the RV before crews arrived, but firefighters located a dog inside the residence while putting out the fire, according to the release. The dog is reported to be doing okay.

There were no injuries involved, and the cause of the fire is under investigation, according to the release.
