TRI-CITIES, Wash.- The Wishing Star Foundation is hosting its 20th annual “Send a Friend a Goat Week” around the Tri-Cities April 14th-April 18th.
With a 75$ donation, you can send a live baby goat to the person of your choosing for a visit within the Tri-Cities area. The recipient who has been “goated” will be asked to donate any amount to pay for the removal of the goat. Anyone interested in “goating” their friend, family or coworker can schedule a visit.
The last day to order a goat is Thursday, April 10th.
Ashleigh Rogers, Programs and Outreach Manager at Wishing Star Foundation said they have seen huge success with this goat campaign in the past, which helps the foundations goal.
“We grant wishes for local children who are battling life-threatening or terminal illnesses,” said Rogers. Proceeds from this fundraiser will stay in our local communities to support Wish Kids ages 3-12 years old.
“Every delivery really makes a difference,” said Rogers. “These funds that are raised through this campaign translate directly into things like airline tickets for families who are going to Disney World, helping us build a playhouse in someone’s backyard, lodging on a beach for a little kids who wishes to catch a big fish.”
Goats will be delivered around the area starting Monday, April 14.
“If you see a goat, think of us and just think of those sweet kids who will have wishes granted because of the support we’re receiving through this campaign,” said Rogers.
