
WALLA WALLA, Wash.- Bigger, bolder and hotter than ever. The Walla Walla Fair & Frontier Days are back August 27-31 for its 159th year.
With headline acts, demo derby, rodeo and carnival rides the Walla Walla Fair & Frontier days are bigger than they have ever been. This year’s theme is “Hotter Than Ever” emphasizing the blazing excitement surrounding an iconic week full of fun.
The fair kicks off 11a.m. Wednesday with free admission until 3p.m. Wednesday and Thursday gates are open 11a.m.-11p.m. with rides starting at 2p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday gates stay open an extra hour until midnight with rides starting by 11a.m.

Sea Lion Splash gets silly
Sea Lion Splash is a free attraction included with your gate admission. The exhibit provides an educational show as well as the chance to see the sea lions in their natural habitat. During the show you can expect the sea lions to dance, sing, smile and pose for pictures.
Blue ribbons and bragging rights
With seven different animal barns during this year’s Walla Walla Fair & Frontier Days, you are sure to see 4H exhibitors showcasing their best livestock. Goats, sheep, hogs, horses, cattle and rabbits will on be on display Wednesday through Sunday. Sunday, August 31 at 9:30a.m. all categories will be awarded on the Pepsi Stage Lawn.
Ride the Legendary Longhorns
Another free attraction with fair admission is the Legendary Longhorns. Ride Hard Entertainment provides free rides as well as the opportunity for kids under 55 pounds to try mutton bustin’, where they try to ride a sheep as long as possible.
Bringing flavor to the fair
La Ramada is a family-owned restaurant bringing authentic flavors to the Walla Walla Fair & Frontier days. La Ramada is known for their tasty al pastor tacos. Owner and Chef Gustavo Buenrostro said it is his “special touch” that makes each dish so delicious. 2025 is their second year at the Walla Walla Fair & Frontier Days and La Ramada is excited to continue to leave his legacy feeding fairgoers.
159 years of the fair, What’s new?
The Walla Walla Fair and Frontier Days planning team is always looking to improve the experience for patrons. This year, the arena is decked out with new lights replacing the 60 year old lights with new LEDs. For the kids, the Farm Center includes a new Combine Harvester Simulator. The simulator includes all the controls and an augmented reality screen that simulates what it would look like if you were cutting wheat.
