A house on sale for over $1.3 million has an incredible feature – an ornamental vine growing into the conservatory, where you can pick grapes.

Balnain Villa is a Grade II listed detached home located in Bathford, Somerset.

The house which has been in the same ownership for nearly 20 years features a “well-established” vine in the garden room.

Owners can have the chance to pick their own green grapes and take care of the vine if they wish to.

Despite not producing wine grapes, the estate agency Hamptons said the “ornamental vine” is a “stunning” feature in the house.

This house in Bathford Hill is available on the market for £1,650,000.

Neal Wood, director at Hamptons in Bath said: “Having been thoughtfully adapted and maintained by the current owners this fine, handsome home is perfect for family living, within practical landscaped gardens.

“We are delighted to offer the house which has been in the same ownership for nearly 20 years, featuring a stunning, well established and productive vine as a focal point the in garden room that leads onto the rear garden.”

This accommodation is across just three floors, this period house comprises of five bedrooms and three bathrooms.

The house is fronted by a stone wall and hedging with a path leading up to the vestibule.

To the side of the house are double gates opening into the driveway with parking for a few cars.

There is direct access into the kitchen and stone steps lead up to the garden at the rear.

The location is an added bonus as Hamptons say Bathford is an “attractive sough-after” village less than four miles from Bath.

It also benefits from Bathford Church School, a community village shop and a country pub.
